Can Adults Get Braces

Can Adults Get Braces? How to Stop Being Embarrassed by Your Braces

Are you one of the many people who is looking for an answer to the question: Can Adults Get Braces? If so, then I want to give you an advice: do not give up. Yes, there are some people who would tell you that your bones have weakened and that it’s now time to get braces.

This is a common thing especially to teenagers. In fact, the majority of them think that if they are given braces, it will be like being the center of attention. In fact, it is actually a silly thing to say. Yes, it is true that we all need to show the world our attractive teeth but we need to understand that wearing braces is the best way to change the look of your teeth.

Of course, it would be silly if I didn’t tell you that what you do on the outside does not affect what’s inside. I mean, your ears, hands, feet, and mouth are part of your body. So if you wear braces, you will also need braces to get rid of them.

Aside from this, having clean teeth is also a good thing. Without it, you cannot enjoy good oral hygiene. If you feel this, then you need to start brushing your teeth everyday even without wearing braces.

Another good thing about getting braces is that it can even help you in socializing. While you may think of people giving you a funny look when you walk up to them, there’s no doubt that braces can also work wonders. With it, you will find it easier to talk and it will make you appear more confident.

Of course, this will not happen to everyone but if you still feel shy around others, wearing braces is just fine. This will also help improve your dental health. And the most important thing about this is that it is no longer about what you can’t have but it’s about what you can have.

Going to the dentist and getting dental care are going to cost you a lot. You need to consider that if you can afford it, then go for it. Just because you have braces doesn’t mean that you can only have white teeth.

Many people get dental implants but it is still better than wearing braces. However, these implants cost a lot. But if you can afford it, it will really be great if you can get braces.

What Your Dental Team Is Doing to Keep You Healthy

Dear Mayani Dental family:

The health and well-being of our patients is our top priority, now and always. In response to the coronavirus pandemic, we are closely following and adhering to precautions advised by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

We want to assure you that we are taking continuous steps to ensure that our office remains a safe place for every patient. It’s important for you to know that dentists are experts in infection control. For instance, we have been trained to prevent the spread of infectious diseases such as flu, HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis and all viral diseases. The precautions we take every day will also help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

We follow precautions developed by the CDC to protect both health care personnel and patients. We sterilize all instruments at 375°F after each use and clean each dental operatory after each patient visit, using surface disinfectants that kill all known infectious diseases, including coronavirus. We utilize dedicated hand wash and one-time use disposable materials which help maintain a safe environment for our patients. Our staff is regularly trained in these procedures.

Working with our facility managers, we’ve ensured that our cleaning team has a sufficient stock of supplies. We have asked them to apply additional focus and time on cleaning door handles, faucets, and other items with high-traffic hand touches. Magazines in our waiting areas are also a risk from frequent contact, so they have been removed.

Seeing your dentist is a vital investment for your general health. Our office remains open to care for our patients following the above guidelines. If you have a fever, are exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness, or have had recent contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you may be a risk to other patients or staff members. If you are experiencing fever (greater than 100.4), cough, or shortness of breath, please remain at home and contact your primary care physician immediately.

Remember, the best way to protect yourself and your community is with everyday preventative actions, like washing hands often and disinfecting surfaces regularly. These actions will help minimize and slow the spread of the coronavirus.
